For over 25 years, RBS Groundworks & Plant Hire has offered a comprehensive range of services including groundwork, drainage, sewer connections, thrust boring, duct & cable laying, tarmac & road construction. They also provide materials and equipment to their civil engineering sector. Clients of theirs include British Telecom, NHS, CORMAC, and McAlpine.
RBS was looking to switch to a gps tracking system that would really maximise their productivity with little effort. Their main concerns were to improve diverting efficiencies, eliminate unauthorised personal use of company vehicles, and to minimise idling times.
Since implementing Fleetmatics, RBS has seen a boost in productivity through improved operational efficiencies. Employee accountability has improved; since they are now aware of the fleet tracking system, unauthorised personal use of the vehicles has been eliminated.
